Volunteer at Sunshine Acres
A Family-Run Farm Where You Live, Eat & Work Alongside Us
Volunteering is for people who want to live on a working, family-run farm rather than just visit one. You stay, eat and work alongside us, and see how the farm runs day to day… we are looking for help with rebuilding our nursery, sprucing up our animal housing, tending to our 2000-odd plant saplings, taking care of our poultry, and helping build a visual story to enhance our social media presence.
Dates
Rolling intake — resident volunteers (minimum 15 days) and weekend volunteers (Friday evening to Sunday / Monday). Only 5 resident spots open at a time.

- In our staff quarters, alongside our family & other farmhand families — or bring your own tent, mattresses provided either way

Two ways to volunteer
Resident VolunteerMin. 15 days · 6 hrs/day · max 5 at a time
- Home-made meals included every day
- Repairing our nursery & sprucing up vegetable beds and trellises
- Creating a medicinal herb garden & tending to our trees
- Helping shoot content for our social media
Weekend VolunteerFriday evening – Sunday / Monday
- Setting up infrastructure for our experiences
- Supporting participants & hospitality on the ground
- Helping with training sessions, when scheduled
- Arrive Friday evening, leave Sunday evening or Monday morning

- Stay in our staff quarters, or bring your own tent — mattresses provided either way
- Meals as per your volunteering format
